Our History
Windmill Street Coffee is a division of one of London’s oldest roasters. Ever since we were established by three Italian brothers in Soho’s Great Windmill Street in 1936, Drury Tea & Coffee has been at the heart of the London coffee scene - we were the first British firm to roast coffee for the Italian espresso bars that sprung up in Soho in the 1950s.
Our Ethos
Our aim is to seamlessly blend the high-quality coffee ideals of the speciality world with the very best of traditional service, sustainably sourcing premium coffees and paying the farmer a fair price for quality beans. Here in the UK, we pay all our employees the London Living Wage as a minimum.
Our Coffee
Core to our offering is our Windmill Street House Blend. Seasonal, fresh and always very tasty, we change it every six months, picking fabulous coffees that are at their peak to ensure our flagship blend is as good as we can make it.
We always have a couple of single origin offerings on hand as well and, of course, there's a decaf option.
Our Service
Great coffee is a given in the speciality industry, but we have also focussed on delivering great customer service - we don’t do “out of stock” and we make deliveries when we say we’re going to. With an employed team of full time barista trainers, we can deliver the training your staff need, when they need it, either on site or at our dedicated barista training centre in the Royal Arsenal development in Woolwich.
